How Cool!

I'm terribly excited today. I have secured the name of my new company (which I will be revealing shortly). Here's a hint - it ends with "Records" ;)

Also - I am the 1999th visitor on this site which means that the next person on here will be lucky 2000. Email me, will ya?

My right hand man, partner in sound, John Napier and I are traveling to Muscle Shoals tomorrow to support Grand Ole Opry star, Mark Collie on the Muscle Shoals to Music Row radio show. Such nice people down there.

The Blue Monday nights at Blue Bar are a huge success. This past Monday, we partnered up with Jack Hayford from the Durango Songwriter's Festival (durangosong.com) and put on a real treat. Kostas was in town. James Slater tore it up. Britton Jack & Amy Dalley were awesome. Ms. Melody Guy rendered beautifully. A great time was had by all.

We have some big things in store for 2006! Hang on.

Hello? Hello?

Well. I finally figured out how to do this blogging thing, I reckon. What a relief from that old Forum!

I will begin by describing last night. Friday night - went to Leilah Hayman's writer's night at the Double Tree hotel here in downtown Nashville. I got up and played 2 songs - a new one called "Mama's Already Gone" and "HotStuff". One of my cowriters, Melody Guy was there in the crowd - as was my right hand man, John Napier - sound man and bud.

Then, Melody and her daughter, Delaney had me join them for a round at the Hall of Fame Lounge - another hotel gig. We did three songs each, I believe. Sound man, Steve invited me to play at 10:45 next Friday night. (ohh - I need to call him and confirm)...

On to Alaska Dan's campfire party where I jammed with Smith Curry (dobro for Kid Rock, Trent Tomlinson, and Nashville Star House band). Smith and I recorded the album "Poetry" together last year. It's available through the web site under the merch heading.

What a fun night of playing!
